An FM Band expander is usually required on pre owned Japanese imported
cars as the radios fitted as standard to them can only be tuned to about
90 mhz on the FM band. As most European radio stations broadcast in the
frequency range 88 - 108 mhz. the Japanese units can only be tuned into
1 or 2 stations. A Band Expander solves this problem by increasing the
band range of your radio so that it can pick up all stations between 88
and 108 mhz. This will of course be much cheaper than changing the radio
and will also look neater as a lot of the radios fitted to pre owned Japanese
cars can be an integral part of the dashboard. They can easily be fitted
yourself or we offer a full fitting service.
